The Opera House is a perfect venue for the Civil War era dance held New Year’s Eve every year, as well as dinner theater, plays, concerts and parties of all kinds.
South Charleston Heritage Commission Corporation also sponsors the Heritage Festival the fourth Saturday of September, with a parade, live music, silent auction, Kiddie Tractor pull, food trucks, and local crafts. This event is held at the historic DTI Train Depot and Log Cabin on Mound St.

The Opera House is a perfect venue for the Civil War era dance held New Year’s Eve every year, as well as dinner theater, plays, concerts and parties of all kinds.
New windows were installed at the DT&I Train Depot in April, thanks to contributions by members and friends, funds raised from the Festival and sales
